Using a Purchasing Group for Insurance
Medmal4Nurses.com (Medical Malpractice for Nurses) offers insurance benefits through the National Association of Independent
Healthcare Professionals (NAIHP), a risk-purchasing group. Medmal4Nurses.com (Medical Malpractice for Nurses) chose NAIHP to reduce the cost of providing
a national medical malpractice insurance program. There are no financial investment or assessment requirements to be a member of NAIHP.

What is a Purchasing Group?
Regulation: An entity that offers insurance to groups of similar businesses with similar exposures to risk.
(Personal lines and workers' compensation policies cannot be written by risk purchasing groups.) The policy is based on the insured's
loss and expense experience and is not afforded to other policyholders with respect to rates, policy forms or coverages. Such programs
and the groups that offer them are exempt from most state laws, rules or regulations, except for the state in which the group is domiciled.
RPGs were originally created by the Risk Retention Act of 1986.
